生地は、天正年間以来約４００年の歴史がある会津もめん（天然素材綿100％）を使用し、日本の高級縫製で仕上げ、裏地には抗菌効果のある羅布麻が使われています。

The fabric used for Fukujin Samue is called “Aizu Momen” - a natural 100% cotton material, which has been woven in this area for over 400 years. The Fukujin Samue is also lined with “rafuma” , which acts as a natural antibacterial lining.

伝統の生地に現代の染め技術で染め上げた色合いは、長く愛用する事で趣きある風合いが生まれます。

As with many traditional fabrics of Japan, the more you wear the Fukujin Samue, the richer the texture and colors will become.

作務衣の由来は、禅宗の僧侶が修行や日常作務を行うときに着用したことからと言われています。現在では座禅はもちろん、陶芸や書道、盆栽など、個人の趣味やお部屋で寛ぐ時に愛用されています。

The Samue was originally worn by Zen monks for daily training and work. Today, you can enjoy wearing Samue while doing many other activities such as meditation, pottery, calligraphy, bonsai as well as just relaxing around the house.

福神作務衣は、外国人の方に日本文化を着て日本伝統文化に触れて楽しむというコンセプトで日本の東北地方・喜多方で生まれました。

Washing Instructions／洗濯方法・注意点

一.洗濯の際、水温は30度を限度としなるべく水をお使い下さい
Please wash in warm or cold water (less than 30 degrees celsius).

二.基本的に弱アルカリ洗剤をお使い下さい。塩素系漂白剤で漂白出来ません
Please use an alkaline detergent. Don’t use chorine bleach.

三.洗濯機での脱水はシワの原因と成りますので、手で絞るときは弱く、脱水機を使う場合は15秒程度が好ましいです
If you spin dry in a washing machine, there will be wrinkles. It is better to gently squeeze the excess water out by hand or just spin dry for about 15 seconds.

四.乾燥機での乾燥は、縮みの原因になりますのでお避け下さい。日陰でハンガーにかけて形を整えてから干して下さい
If you use a dryer, there will probably be shrinkage. It is better to dry your samue on a hanger in the shade.

五.アイロン掛けは160℃を限度とし、中温（140℃～160℃）でお願いします
Iron at a medium temperature (140-160 degrees celsius).

※出来るだけドライクリーニング専門店へお出しする事をお勧め致します
We recomment drycleaning your samue for the best results.
タンブラー乾燥はお避け下さい
Avoid using a tumbler dryer.
